Administrative Staff
The Institute of Smart City Technologies (ISCT) of the University of Macau invites applications for the position of Laboratory Technician (equivalent to Administrative Officer/Senior Administrative Assistant) at a taxable monthly salary ranging from MOP34,780 to MOP52,640 (index 370 – 560).
Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize the daily operations of Supper Intelligent Computing Center (SICC)’s AI infrastructure, oversee resource allocation, system performance, and data asset management to maintain a high‑efficiency, scalable computing environment;
- Develop and deploy secure AI‑driven applications to automate workflows, enable intelligent dialog, and improve document processing for greater efficiency and data accuracy;
- Oversee IT resources, including allocation, maintenance, user support, and performance optimization; establish SOPs to ensure effective and reliable technical operations;
- Support the research and academic initiatives by managing internal procedures and optimizing data analysis pipelines to deliver precise, data driven reports that support management strategy;
- Assist in handling any ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in the fields of Computer Science, Mathematics, or related disciplines. Master’s degree is a plus;
- Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in managing large-scale AI supercomputing nodes and heterogeneous computing architecture, with proven experience in implementing cluster management tools such as DeepOps and SLURM;
- Possessing advanced expertise in the fields of smart cities and IoT is an advantage. Strong proficiency in Linux systems and scripting languages, with hands-on experience using BASH and Python for workflow automation and operational efficiency;
- Strong sense of responsibility, excellent problem-solving skills, and strong interpersonal abilities;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin);
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure.
