Research Assistant for the Graduate School

Research Staff

The Graduate School is responsible for the management, development and progress monitoring of the graduate studies for the entire university. We are currently at a fast pace of expansion as the numbers of postgraduate students and programmes have been increased significantly in recent years.

To cope with the research need of the Graduate School, GRS invites applications for the position of Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will assist in research projects and activities, including but not limited to data collection, analysis, and documentation, which are mainly related to the postgraduate student admission, promotion and postgraduate programmes and provide necessary support as assigned.

Initial appointment is on 12-month basis with a possibility of renewal upon mutual agreement.

The selected candidate is expected to assume duty as soon as possible.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree or above in Education, Translation, English Studies, Business Administration, Statistics or related disciplines;
2. Working experience in research center, education institution or related fields;
3. Familiarity with higher education setting in Mainland China or Macau SAR would be an advantage;
4. Proficient in research tools and skills, including image software (Adobe and etc.) would be an advantage;
5. Good command of Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin) and English. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Power Point;
6. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.

Remuneration

Remuneration offered will be commensurate with the successful applicants’ academic qualification and relevant professional experience. The current local maximum income tax rate is 12% but is effectively around 5% – 7% after various discretionary exemptions.
