The International School of Macao (TIS Macao) is seeking an Educational Assistant.

Responsibilities:

• Support students in class or in small group settings for learning.

• Facilitate and encourage the development of student self-esteem and independence.

• Encourage students to develop and maintain positive interactions with peers and adults.

• Provide input to the teacher for planning purposes.

• Participate in scheduled meetings.

• Consult and collaborate with school team members.

• Support students in accessing and using technology effectively.

• Maintain confidentiality of student information and school matters.

• Maintain collegial and professional relationships with all staff at school.

• Work with students in a variety of settings, including supervision at breaks and on field trips

• Follow other duties as assigned by the school, including supervision duties and professional development activities

Requirements:

• Native Chinese speaker with a recognized degree in Chinese or Education

• Possesses a Level 2-A Certificate in Mandarin proficiency.

• Experience tutoring student in small group or one to one

• Work collaboratively with the Chinese team and the TIS community

• Strong English speaking and writing skills; ability to communicate with English speaking colleagues, parents and students

• Applicant must be Macao ID holder
